I think we need a thread about the Olympics. The dressage is going to be awesome. I hope they show heaps of it on TV!

Great idea! The Beijing time zone must be pretty close to Australia's time zone, so maybe we'll get to see stuff as it happens!

You mean the Hong Kong time zone... Wink

I looked it up, they're 2 hours behind AEST. They're also running events in the evening (at least that's what I heard a while back...) so hopefully it won't clash with too many other sports which should (I assume) be running during the day as usual... unless they rescheduled the other sports as well...?

I reckon the Aussies did pretty well. Is it the first time we've had 2 thru to the special? I tried watching it on the internet because channel 7 showed hardly anything but my computer wouldn't work Crying or Very sad

The eventers did well to get silver!

All the positive drug testing stuff is a bit depressing Neutral

I'd be so paranoid if I was competing at the Olympics... I'd want to have absolutely no medicine of any kind near my horse! (If that was possible...)

It's a bit rough that the product the jumpers were using was apparently guaranteed to not swab... as long as they were using it in a 'nice' way (if that makes sense...)

I like to hope that the riders aren't really trying to cheat, potentially putting their horse's welfare at risk in the process...
