Here's a place to share useful horse health links!!

We're into laminitis season here, and one of my horses is looking a bit fat.

I found a great link to the Henneke Body Condition Scoring System:

http://www.habitatforhorses.org/rescues/bodyscoring.html

So I thought I'd share!

I think she may be nearly a 7... so I guess it could be worse! (Although obviously she still needs to lose weight...)

"En la playa" and "Equilibrio" by the artist Chelin Sanjuan.

"Coming Up", "Arabian", "The Workhorse" and "Lambrusco by the artist Heidi Garner.

They are well worth checking out! Absolutely amazing work!!

What an amazing person. He taught me more in 6 months than any instructor taught me in 15 years of riding. He gave so much yet asked for so little in return. Its so hard to understand why all the good ones are taken from us so soon. I will cherish the memories and the unconditional friendship and don't think I will ever drink a glass of champagne again without thinking of him.
Hello all!

I'm "MumbleBee"

I'm from Ostrayah, and I have 2 horses. I attempt to do dressage with them, buuuut EI and that sort of thing have got in the way lately!

I'm looking forward to getting out to my first competition with my new horse this year! Unfortunately he's lame at the moment, so we're going to wait a little while!

Ah well, that's me! *Waves*

I remember last year when it just seemed to be spreading everywhere... it was pretty depressing and although I had been optimistic initially, I started to get quite depressed about it.

So looking back on that today, it's great to see how far things have come! And it will be interesting to see what EI's legacy will be for the Australian horse industry... I hope there are some good things! Like ...

G'day! I'm "Capriole", the person who started this forum.

I just realised that while I've been experimenting on here to find out how it all works, I haven't got around to posting an intro thread for myself

So here's one now!

I'm from Australia and I'm a bit of a dressage fan. I'm looking forward to the new competition season getting underway after we lost the last half of last year to EI! But now it seems to have been eradicated (a round of applause to all horse people, ...

~ It is the best of lessons if the horse gets a season of repose whenever he has behaved to his rider's satisfaction.
