			<description><![CDATA[What do you think? I've always thought it was a bit strange how you HAVE to use them. Sure it looks cooler with the two reins and I know that people say it's for refining the aids or something.

I don't see why they HAVE to wear spurs. Of course I've never ridden at a level where you have to wear them so I'd love to know what other people think!]]></description>

			<description>I'm no expert, but to me it just doesn't seem right. I've read some pretty compelling arguments from experts I respect who disagree with it. 



I was recently re-reading bits of Andrew McLean's book &quot;The Truth About Horses&quot;, where he says this about learned helplessness:
